Interesting monitor, May 14, 2010 By This review is from: Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen LCD High Performance Monitor with HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort and HDCP (Electronics) We have more than a dozen of these monitors at work and I have two on my desk and one at home. The monitors arrive with an enclosed calibration sheet. Apparently they are factory calibrated now. Because I work on media I needed a color accurate monitor that could also double as a day to day working display for coding, presentations and documents. Out of the box these monitors required less calibration work than any LCD monitor or TV that I've used in the past five years. I saw none of the pink or green tinge referred to in other reviews. Nor was there any noticeable graduation of color tint from one side to another. In fact side by side the monitors appear perfectly matched and even.
The color from these monitors is very neutral, which is to say quite accurate. While they are not 'reference' quality they don't fall far short of the mark. For the price they are a good deal. You should be aware that IPS is known for accuracy and range of colors. The display is not LED... Read more

Horrible Green to Pink Tint... had potential to be best ever, March 22, 2010 By This review is from: Dell UltraSharp U2410 24-inch Widescreen LCD High Performance Monitor with HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort and HDCP (Electronics) I had three of these and there are many that have had more. These monitors have a horrible tinting problem where the monitor is Green on one side and Pink on the other. Dell claims that it's within normal limits and actually a "feature" which is the craziest thing I've ever heard. Yes, other monitors use the same panel but they allow for multiple point calibration on the panel to counter it, but Dell only allows for calibration for the entire panel as a whole... THIS IS NOT something you can make better with software or monitor settings, believe me!
So the Green to pink tint makes this monitor useless for any serious photoshop, photography, or advertising work as your color will ALWAYS differ from one side of the monitor to the other. You can't get your greys right to save your life! Google it yourself before buying this monitor and save yourself the frustration. Also, Dell is no longer allowing users to return the monitor until they get one that DOES NOT have the green to... Read more

Namely horizontal banding and mine came with a areas that had a pink tint with other areas with a green tint.
I'm on my THIRD replacement monitor from Dell. I finally asked for my money back, and they won't give it back because the thirty days replacement period has passed! I assumed an issue like this would be covered in the three year warranty... no.
Extremely disappointed.
I've spent close to 4 hours on the phone w/ tech support (timed via Skype).
Run. Run now. Do not buy!
