Best bang for buck for gamers and power users!, June 5, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: HP Compaq L240w 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor (Electronics) This monitor offers unbelievable value. I ordered two of these monitors for my surround setup and both arrived new in box with no dead pixels. The monitor stand is robust, giving the ability to go up and down, tilt, and even rotate so you can use it in portrait mode.(Vertical)
The best monitor resolution in my opinion, offered by this monitor, 1920x1200, gives you about an extra inch of screen vertically. After using these monitors and then using a standard 1080p monitor, I feel like the image is squished.
Image quality is good and respectable, but nothing spectacular. Letters are crisp on my screen and videos and pictures are sharp, but the colors are a little washed out and the blacks are a bit faded. Viewing angle is very limited, getting darker and distorted from anything less than square with your face. I can deal with this, though, as I stay in front of my monitors! I haven't adjusted this monitor's picture at all though, so I may be able to get better... Read more
