Big Monitor, Small Issues, February 9, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Lilliput 10.1" Fa1013-np/h/y 16:9 Hdmi Field Monitor By Viviteq (Electronics) I needed a monitor the wouldn't hurt my budget and would still provide some decent quality resolution. This did the trick, and i was really impressed by it. I haven't had much use of it yet, but i have tested it out with my Canon T3I and the picture quality has been enough to meet my needs for the price. i may make a video review later on and provide some more feedback as soon as i play with it more but I'll give some tips so you know what to expect.
1. The packaging was great, neatly organized and nothing missing.
2. I bought the battery for this monitor, the lilliput 4600 Mah which is also sold here. i failed to realize that in order to mount it to the monitor, you also need to buy the mounting plate (also sold here), and now i have to wait for that to ship to me. it was a few bucks though.
3. if you plan on putting this on an articulating arm, take note; In order to mount it, you need to unscrew the base stand off. i figured it would just be a... Read more
This item is as advertised and works great, January 25, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Lilliput 10.1" Fa1013-np/h/y 16:9 Hdmi Field Monitor By Viviteq (Electronics) I recently purchased a 7" Marshall LCD monitor and paid close to $500 for it. Needless to say, I was a little skeptical about getting a significantly larger monitor for less than half the price of my Marshall. I use this monitor for when I am shooting my sons hockey games. The lilliput worked so well that I now plan to sell my old Marshall and just keep this one instead. The build seems solid and it is intuitive to use. I removed the monitor stand which reveals a 1/4" thread (which is fairly standard with a lot of photo and video equiptment) and have it mounted on a seperate tripod. If you are planning on using this item remotely (as I do) please note that it does not run off of a battery. I have the Vagabond Mini(tm) Lithium Battery Inverter which allows me to use AC power on the go. You will either need to buy something similar if you want to use this monitor remotely or plan to bring VERY long extension cords.
