Best for gaming but also good for regular use, June 14, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsung S23A700D 23" Class 3D LED Backlit Monitor (Electronics) I have been researching 3D monitor for two months now. I decided to buy this monitor because A. I use AMD graphic card, B. I work with Samsung digital signage at work and like their new LED panel. C. I don't want to spend over $300 for a monitor. I don't care about USB port and speaker/audio system on the monitor and I was torn between 120HZ TN panel and IPS panel with acceptable refresh rate (5ms maybe). Then, I saw this new monitor on Amazon and I decided to get it after reading its review in here[...]
I am going to list pro and con for this monitor based on my experience with it for 3 weeks.
Con -
1. Monitor is VESA incompatible.
2. Touch sensitive control are a pain to use.
3. Lacks display port connector.
4. It can only tilt a few degrees up and down.
Pros
1. Colors are very vivid for both gaming and text editing/Web surfing (Text are sharp & image vivid).
2. Watching HD content on this panel is so beautiful and smooth.

Awesome monitor!, June 28, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsung S23A700D 23" Class 3D LED Backlit Monitor (Electronics) Amazing picture and excellent build quality. Very nice touch interface for the monitor buttons (you need to touch BELOW the actual button for the menu and controls to respond), DVI and HDMI connectors, adjustable tilt and a very stylish and modern design. The 3D features are fair, but not spectacular (not a big fan of Tridef), although the monitor itself, without any third party 3d software will work fairly good at producing some level of depth when the 3D feature is on (some adjustments need to be done to achieve good results). Luckily, I have an NVidia video card and I was able to make the monitor work with 3Dvision technology which is impressive. I could have bought a 3Dvision compatible monitor but I don't like them, because they are all LCD screens, with faded colors and non-glossy screens. If you buy this monitor you will get the best of both worlds. You can make it work with its original driver and Tridef or you could make a few tweaks and get it to be recognized by Nvidia...
